Copious Notes

Early this week I caught up with trumpeter Vince DiMartino and organist Schuyler Robinson to preview their Friday night concert at Centenary United Methodist Church. The event is part of their preparation for the International Trumpet Guild Conference in July in Sydney, Austrailia. There, they will play the same concert, along with DiMartino’s son Gabriel DiMartino, which includes transcriptions of Modeste Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition and George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue.
