The Lexington Film League is seeking submissions for two events, a music video competition as part of September’s Boomslang festival and films by, for and/or about women for November’s LunaFest, a national traveling film festival.
Filmmakers who live in or have ties to Kentucky are eligible to submit music videos by Aug. 31. The filmmaker must own or have rights to use the music in the video. Winning entries will be shown during the Boomslang offshoot Filmslang, Sept. 13-17.
For LunaFest, the film league and the Bluegrass Domestic Violence Program are seeking films no longer than 15 minutes from Kentucky filmmakers, especially those living in the area served by the Domestic Violence Program. Submissions are due Oct. 1, and winning entries will be shown during LunaFest on Nov. 7 at the Kentucky Theatre.
